I have told this story a thousand times. I was 29 years old when I went a Super Bowl. My seat was Section L, Row 6, Seat 12. We were a few rows back at the goal line. It was Super Bowl XIII at the Orange Bowl in Miami in 1979. The Steelers were playing the Dallas Cowboys for the Lombardi Trophy. I took this photo of Steeler great John Stallworth as he was about to cross the goal line. Stallworth only caught three passess in the game. Two were for touchdowns. This photo is the conclusion of a 75 yard pass play from Terry Bradshaw. Stallworth caught it at midfield and everyone knew he would score. It seemed like an eternity for me to focus and get the shot. What a dramatic moment in Steeler history. Super Bowl XIII was the very first terrible towel Super Bowl. There were tens of thousands of towels waving that day. At the time NBC announcer, Curt Gowdy, referred to our towels as "dirty towels." It's okay. We won the game 35-31 over the so-called America's Team.I still have my towel (which flew out of my hands a couple of times) from Super Bowl XIII and my game ticket. It was the best $30 I ever spent to see a great game. By the way, there were nine Steeler hall of famers on the field that day.
