My wife's uncle, John Hydeck, is painting the finishing touches on the sign outside of Hydeck Cafe in Hazelwood. The Hydeck family owned businesses in Hazelwood for over 50 years. When my wife and I were dating in the 80s we went to Hydeck Bar on Second Avenue for a beer. We were both carded and couldn't believe it. We were in our thirties at the time.
