My mother's family came here from southern Italy in 1903. Here is my grandmother, Rachel Barone, dancing the Tarentella. She is dancing with her la migliore amica (best friend) Golmanette. The spelling may be wrong but that is how we pronounced her friend's name. My mother is seen on the far right. They danced at my brother's wedding.
