This is their job. They would have joined the Red Cross to save people in person, I believe, however, they became journalist because they want to save 'more' people by 'showing their photographs'. I wish they always remember the initial purpose when they decided to become journalists. Then they can always focus on showing the truth rather than showing something only powerful, or something fabricated / manipulated for winning a competition. We can blame them if they lost their innocent initial purpose, however, we can not blame them undertaking their own job, even if it's hard to understand or disgusting to look at sometimes.
"I have been a witness, and these pictures are my testimony. The events I have recorded should not be forgotten and must not be repeated."
- James Nachtwey
