This is a younger Barack Obama, perhaps believing that he could actually change Washington. Little did he know that the Republicans would oppose him incessantly or that the economy was in worse condition than anyone could imagine. His serious expression reflects his calm, informed decision-making which is one of the qualities that I appreciate most.
