Sadly, this was the last time we saw Santa waving in Hartwood Celebration of Lights! We used to take our children to the Christmas light display with packed snacks and drinks for the long car wait. We'd turn on the radio, listen to Christmas carols, and sing along. I can't sing so my kids would beg me to stop! After we drove through the display, we'd sometimes go to a restaurant on the way home. The display generated funds for WTAE's Project Bundle Up and the Salvation Army. The display of lights was held at Hartwood Acres Park from 1991 to 2011.
