Nearby lighting creates a dramatic contrast between the burnished bronze sculpture against the dark night sky. This sculpture by Victor David Brenner, honors Mary Schenley for her generosity to the city of Pittsburgh. An inscription on the pedestal reads, "A Song of Nature, Pan the Earth God Answers to the Harmony and Magic Tones Sung to the Lyre by Sweet Humanity."
