Pittsburgh Pirate Phil Garner makes his way through the crowd the day after Game 7 of the 1979 World Series. The Pirates were world champions and the city threw a party downtown. Phil's nickname was "scrap-iron" because of his style of play as an infielder. My nephews and I greeted the players as they got off the team bus.
