Shirin Neshat had a film installation in the Carnegie International 99/00 and I remember looking back and forth at the two films on opposite walls, from in between both. One sort of West, one sort of East. I felt interested and unsure of my responses - How were they affected by weird mediated filters? Having these questions about this photo. I feel that I want to know what SHE has to say. Also what SHE wants US to know about her and this depiction of her.
